THX 4 COMING OUT LAST NIGHT !!& NEW MUSIC!!- SOUTHERN HEX

 The majority of readers don't know this, so a quick list FYI regarding SOUTHERN HEX:

- the one I started with a drummer named Nick who isn't in band currently for financial & controlling evil girlfriend reasons
-I play rhythm guitar (it's the easier one, the guitar that plays the chords, basic riffs, and
so forth) &
- am the main 'vocalist' .  The term seems more than a little pretentious when we're mainly talking about screaming, yelling, & growling..but, well, 'lead singer' is fucking absurd.
- we've recorded 7 songs so far. All are on

- played drums, keys, and most guitars in addition to doing most of the vocals.
- there are 3 others in SOUTHERN HEX now:
- Sonia Madson (bass, keys/synths, vocals)
- Ed Chain (drums, percussion, various things triggered w pads)
- Jeff Hyde (aka Unrepentant from AUTUMN REACH &  Mathias Eldertarnon (spelling?) from FUNERAL PATH) playing lead/main guitars and backing vocals.

Anyway, show last night was FUCKING FANTASTIC!! We DID SELL OUT THE VENUE..which, granted, didn't happen until right before our set as last band playing.  Also, I admit, a capacity of 200 isn't exactly Madison Square.  SO WHAT? It was a KILLER show with us feeding off the crowd's energy, and everyone sweating & raging!!
Also, PLEASE lay off people like the fat dude who accidentally knocked over the bass amp.  We've got backup stuff for EXACTLY that reason, and when we push a crowd to go bananas, come dive off the stage, and generally freak-thefuck-out, we KNOW were going to have to deal w stuff like that.  This time we only played 1 song w Jeff playing my guitar & were back to good.

I saw some of the treatment the guy got during the coupleinutes we were getting shit back upright etc before we started playing w the 1 guitar.  It was UNQUESTIONABLY what I would call BULLYING & that is TOTAL COmPLETE BULLSHIT.
I really DO appreciate people who are so into a band this new that theure truly upset when someone causes an accident that affects their performance.  HOWEVER, I REALLY REALLY DO --NOT--APPRECIATE people using our band or the minor hiccup as an excuse to be truly ugly, insulting, and physically intimidate another person.  Bullies are COWARDS & SHITBAGS who never seem to have much to say UNLESS they have a crowd at their back.
I understand getting pissed off about stuff like that especially when u pay to be there, but hassling someone until they take off isn't an acceptable response in my book.

COP KILLINGS : Jury selection today in Tensing Trial for Murdering of DuBose

Today jury selection begins in one of the most CLEARLY delineated, cut-and-dry racially divided police shootings of an unarmed man in the recent year.

On July 19 of last year a University of Cincinatti "Police" "Officer", Ray Tensing, oulled over a car for a traffic violation. 
--> NOTE: Im going to forego my normal commentary on the QUESTIONABLE legality of an educational business (nonprofit or not, state funded or not, they provide services in exchange for a LOT of funds)actually HAVING a Police force when they are NOT a municipality and NOONE whom was voted into ANY OFFICE WHATSOEVER is in overall charge of them, they dont have a "jurisdiction" defined by the boundaries of that municipality or polity, etc.<--
Anyway, Tensing was wearing a body camera and the unedited footage has been released (I'd like to point out that whomever IS in charge, perhaps the Mayor or DA in Cincinatti has done the best they can with this shite.  They did release the footage, and did move against the POLICE officer, not the victim, etc).

Tensing says about 4 words to the man he's pulled over, Samuel Dubose (unfortunately for him in this situation, he was a black man while the "police officer" was white).  When he finds out Dubose has no license, which he admits without displaying any aggression at any time until Tensing demands he get out of the car.  Then,when Tensing jerks the door open, Tensing (who, surprise, may have felt threatened) pulls it closed again.  When Tensing subsequently leans into the car on Dubose's side, Dubose moves his right hand forward (what hes doing & where it was going are open and debated questions).
Then, WITHOUT BEING THREATENED IN ANY WAY, WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER, WITHOUT ANY WEAPON OR THREAT OF SAME, AND WITHOUT ANY APPARENT REASON, TENSING TOOK OUT HIS FIREARM AND SHOT DUBOSE IN THE HEAD, KILLING HIM IMMEDIATELY.

I encourage anyone reading this to take a moment to think about the completely unnecessary death of a human being who had aspirations (he was an amateur rapper among other things), a mother and other family, and every reason to expect NOT to die that day.  Just take a moment please.

I personally think DuBose would still be alive had he been a white girl with a sorority hoodie on or somesuch.  He certainly would at least have gotten A WARNING BEFORE HE WAS SHOT if he was.
Fortunately for my belief in my fellow man, the local prosecutor subsequently charged Tensing with a REAL crime-not 'dereliction of duty' etc--in a REAL court--not a "tribunal of fellow officers"--with the chance for REAL punishment --life life in prison, not "paid mandatory leave", etc

So, this time at least, there is a SLIM CHANCE THAT ONE OF THESE SCUMBAGS WHO USE SHORTCUTS LIKE RACE INSTEAD OF THINKING ABOUT EACH INDIVIDUAL they are "enforcing the law" on, will get the actual punishment they DESERVE FOR MURDERING A FELLOW HUMAN.
In FEW OTHER cases does the DA charge the Cop with MURDER, as the DA in this case DID.

So, with Jury Selection starting today on this trial, lets ALL TAKE NOTE AND BE A BIT HEARTENED THAT THE IDEAL OF JUSTICE AND EQUAL APPLICATION OF THE LAW IS NOT ENTIRELY DEAD..yet.

It's literally A PILE OF BOXES FULL OF NEW STUFF, all of which is 49 cents or LESS !! I dunno about you, dear hypothetical reader, but I can always find SOMETHING at 7-11 that I want (** especially if someone who owes me money says something like 'hey I'm going to the store if anyone needs anything").  I mean, there's a little there from every category of commercially produced garbage available..and it's finally affordable!!
